What programs are must have?

Hey, I'll be building my first PC here shortly.
And I'm just curious on some other //users point of view on what is "must have" software for a fresh start.

I'll be using Windows 7 Professional//64bit.
Specs, shouldn't matter.

Software;
Such as, Video player, Audio Player,a game client, a chat client, etc.
Obviously, Steam is rather nice.
I've been using Skype, but thinking of converting to Mumble.
I use Media Player Classic with Community Codex Pack,
I personally think it's just as good, if not better then VLC.
I was intending on using MSE.
As for Game Capturing, I have an Nvidia 700 series, So I'll be using the Nvidia Experince Software.
As for hardware monitoring, I only really know of CPU-Z and there couterpart applications.
Chrome? Firefox?

Willing to take suggestions and open to anything.

Personally, I like CCleaner (http/www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download) as it does a better job of cleaning temporary internet files than the tool included with Internet Explorer or Chrome plus it will delete other temp files as well. I also like the tool with CCleaner that will allow you to securely wipe free space from the hard drive. As for video converters I like MPEG Streamclip (http/www.squared5.com/) and Handbrake (http/handbrake.fr/).
