What speakers/audio system I need to fully enjoy music from my computer

Please recommend me specific part of speakers and/or complete audio system to connect to my computer. What kind of speakers should I get in order to enjoy full benefit of my sound card?

My sound card has the following specs:

Cirrus Logic CS4398 DAC 120dB signal-to-noise ratio
TPA6120A2 600ohm headphone AMP
WIMA film capacitors
ELNA premium audio caps

I am new to sound setups. My last sound system was logitech $90 system that consists of two speakers and boom box.

If you had a $90 Logitech 2.1 system, it should have had pretty good sound, what do you not like about it?

What is your budget? Looking for a full surround sound system or just stereo?
