The Samsung Galaxy S7 is an awesome handset but does require some adjustments to how you use and carry the phone. Many new users found the screen on the S7 and S7 Edge too sensitive and although I didn’t have that issue, I spoke to others who did. If you want to know what to do if your Galaxy S7 screen is overly sensitive, read this!
Samsung have released a setting for screen sensitivity in March 2016 so your first move should be to check for updates. This has apparently helped many with sensitive S7 Edge screens so may help you too.
If the update isn’t available for you or it doesn’t work, there are three things you can do yourself. The first two might not be ideal but have worked for many users who also want to keep their S7 in pristine condition.
1. Buy a phone cover.
2. Buy a screen cover.
3. Use a screen sensitivity app from the Google Play Store.
There are a few screen sensitivity apps on the Google Play Store so read the reviews and select the one you like best.
Finally, Samsung themselves suggest trying the following. Be aware though that it will set your home screen back to default and any tweaks you made to screen brightness.
1. Navigate to Settings, Application, Application Manager, More, Show system apps.
2. Select TouchWiz Home, Storage and then Clear data.
3. Select TouchWiz Easy Home and Clear data.
4. Navigate to Settings, Application, Application Manager, More.
5. Reset App preferences.
Quite a few users said this final tweak was the one that worked for them. Try it yourself and let us know!
