What would be a good laptop for me?

Hi so im going to sell me current gaming pc for the simple fact i dont use it anymore for gaming outright. Selling it would get me about £1400.

Im looking to buy a laptop for the portable factor that costs around £1000 and is good for surfing the web, editing and rendering high quality videos and perhaps play the odd game for if i ever get bored. ive looked at the mac range and some custom vaios but im not sure what would be best.

Any suggestions are welcomed.
