Hello everyone, I'm looking for a great gaming laptop, with 2630/2670/2760/2860 and 6990m crossfired. Or 580m sli is better? Then tell me where I can get that for less than $1800. Yes, I'm planning to get a laptop for 40-60 fps in Battlefield 3 for only $1800 max. I'd like to have a minimum FPS of 35, though of course, the more the better. Quality: 1920x1080, I can do well without AA&AF, quality should be at least high. Is there any laptop with such graphics cards and cpu for such money?

Buy a PC, lol j/k 😉

Ok from every test that I've seen BF3 doesn't get bottlenecked by the CPU, so you don't need anything fast or the latest. And from the benchmarks I've seen a GTX580m or 6990m will run the game fine at high or maxed details...

Ok from every test that I've seen BF3 doesn't get bottlenecked by the CPU, so you don't need anything fast or the latest. And from the benchmarks I've seen a GTX580m or 6990m will run the game fine at high or maxed details, as long as you don't apply Anti-aliasing. Gaming laptops are pretty damn powerful these days but with great power comes great cons to the actual product. Remember that the "mobile" factor is very limited as the laptop will probably weight close to 10 pounds, the battery will probably last about 2 hours if lucky, you'll have to be plugged in to a power source at all times if you're gaming and you'll be dependent on a good warranty to make the investment worth it. I don't know how much the life expectancy of these gaming laptops but if you're used to moving it around a lot and you're gaming in an area with a hot or warm climate don't expect much.

I know you're on a budget but I strongly suggest you consider the best warranty option available and if possible include accidental damage protection or whatever covers the damage done to your laptop if dropped. Remember that if the 580m gpu gets damaged or dies outside of warranty you'll be left with a laptop that's worth less than half of what you payed for.

I don't need it to work more than several hours, and I don't pretty much care how much it'll weigh. And still, with Malibal's 3 year coverage, I still do fit in a budget.
