What's better intel's centrino vPro 2 or intel's atom processor?

My laptop recently broke and it was an ASUS with an intel atom. My uncle gave me his HP with an intel Centrino 2 vPro. Which is better or is there no real difference?

Definitely the Centrinio 2 , the atom, even the newer ones are slower than molasses. they are good for low power needs but thats about it.
