Why didn't you mention about the sensors size? Why do these so called "tech blogs" concentrate solely on the megapixels? 808's sensor is absolutely huge! And the megapixels aren't the impressive thing here, the interesting thing is how they are used: they invested heavily into the signal processing, so that they could handle that much information from 41mega pixels in order to uses those pixels in groups, that would gather light like the sensor had bigger pixels. This allows for staggering amount of detail with as little noise as on pro cameras. This also allows absolutely silent zoom in stills and videos and all this in pocket size. The raw test images are so fantastic, that they made me dizzy.
This is a bigger deal, than you made it sound like.
