What's the difference between HyperX Cloud and Qpad QH-85 Pro, beside that one is open?

Hi,
so what's the difference between HyperX Cloud and Qpad QH-85 Pro?

From what i understand the HyperX Cloud is also made by Qpad QH-85 Pro, but Kingston branded, they go for the same price, so the quality should be the same.

The only difference i can see is that HyperX Cloud is closed and Qpad QH-85 Pro is open.

Is there some more differences that i am overseeing?

I personally like open headphones more, they have a more natural sound and i want to hear the room, but every <language edit> review on youtube says HyperX Cloud is awesome and no one compares it to Qpad QH-85 Pro.

Can someone explain?

HyperX Cloud

BTW, i am not talking about Cloud 2, i don't like 7.1 and don't want it, i wan't to use it as both a gaming headset and for music.

all i can say is that the X and 90 are the same. as far as how the 90 stacks up with the 85, you'd have to see about reviews.

well, there are other good products.. headphones like the sennheiser hd518/558, audiotechnica ad500x or similar are good but prices in europe are higher than ours which puts them out of reach on that budget.
the hyperxcloud original is basically a copy of the qpad qh-90. both in turn are based on the takstar pro 80 / gemini hsr1000. this particular headphone/headset has been copied/rebranded many times. it is / was well known for being a good budget option although current hxc popularity has pushed prices up well above where they used to sit.

note, the hxc2 and revolver deviate from this design, for better or for worse.

why are there more reviews about the hxc? it is marketed in retail stores and is popular. it is more well known. not everyone knows the origin of the hxc nor cares. there is no need to a/b comparison products which are basically the same thing.

now, the qpad qh-85 you are talking about is likely different in some ways. i am not sure if it is just an open version or if there is more going on. there ARE also comparisions made between the two if you look. hint: qh-90 vs qh-85.

the benefits of open are generally a bigger soundstage (perhaps this is why you feel it sounds more natural). the benefits of closed are generally noise isolation and in some cases more bass.

I've neen looking up articles and reviews for past two days and i also watched the videos of this german guy, and there are comparisons between QPAD QH-85 and QH-90, and QH-90 seems to be HyperX Cloud just with a Kingston red X on it.

But still i kind of wanted more info about the differences, all i found was that QH-85 cabels are unbraided and it's open, is there really nothing more to it?

Do you have some recomindations, other brands that are about 70€ with good sound quality, open cup, and mic?

There seems to be nothing that comes even close to that good of a quality at that price range somehow.
If only there was a HyperX with open cups... i like that red X, but it'll be QH-85 for me i guess.
