I've been contemplating buying a new high-ish range gaming laptop but every one of the available choices right now seems to have at least 1 major drawback. I've considered:
-Razer Blade 14 - too small for me, would prefer a 15'' screen, also too expensive and don't need the 3200 * 1800 resolution, FHD would do just fine.
-MSI GS60 pro - gets extremely hot which would lead to a shorter lifetime
-Gigabyte P35g V2 - underwhelming GPU, would expect at least a Maxwell architecture;
-a Sager choice - the design is just...no
-Lenovo Y50 - bad screen (viewing angles)
a few others too

Out of them all, I like the Gigabyte best, although I would only buy it if it gets an upgrade to Maxwell 860m.
What do you think is the optimal compromise out of these, or similar laptops right now?
Also, do you think that in the following couple of months some really nice tweaked versions or new appearances will come out ? If yes, please describe your predictions/knowledge.

Hmmm... wait I'm sure Gigabyte has an 860M in their P35G V2s.

We sell one exactly with that GPU (http://www.ibuypower.com/Product/Gigabyte)!

By the way, 5% off all purchases of $1,299 or more plus free shipping. 😉 Just saying haha.

Personally, I like the slim look and weight of the GS60 Ghost, but the heating is definitely an issue. Out of all those issues you brought up, it seems like the Gigabyte GPU was the only problem, which could be resolved by finding a reseller that has an 860M configuration.
