When I connect my HDMI cable from my laptop to my TV it doesn't work...

So, when I connect an HDMI cable to my TV it doesn't work... My laptop is by Acer and my TV is by Samsung. Please Help me

Have you checked with Samsung to find out of your particular laptop is compatible with their TV? Not all devices can connect correctly.
