Solved! When plugged power adapter dell vostro 1500 is not booting

Hello,
i have a dell vostro 1500 notebook . it is completely dead . when i plug the power cable , the LED on the charger turns off and it does not boot up with battery. please help me solve the issue and you must know that it is not just my problem,thank you.

sounds to me like the logicboard/mobo has a short. you could try a new psu but in my experience it has always been the mobo at fault with this specific problem.
