When should I replace the thermal paste in my laptop?

My laptop is a HP g6 2091ex. I have currently been experiencing overheating within the laptop.
The cpu runs at around 60-70 degrees celsius on just stand by. It goes up to around 90-95 degrees when I try to play a game. Should I replace its thermal compound?

You could, but you could also just open it up and clean it all out for the dust because dust may of built up inside the heat sink.
