Depends on the situation. Usually signal degrades when getting farther. Let's say you have a router with 300 mb/s bandwidth and your internet speed is 100 mb/s. Let's say you're moving 50 meters away and your bandwidth decreases to 150 mb/s because of the signal strength. Your internet speed gets unaffected in that case. When you're trying to move even further away and the signal degrades so much that the bandwidth of the router gets below 100 mb/s, that's when your internet speed will be affected. So as long as your router bandwidth is over or equal to your internet speed than your speed won't be affected.
Hope it helps you undestand.
