i've looked everywhere, cant find the conductive silver laquer, the link on tom's guide brought me to some company's website that manufactured it, but i need a place to buy it. thx, i'm really anxious to unlock my multiplier.

oh and one last question, i would like to know if you unlocked the multiplier on a 1600+ and brought it up to 1900+ speed if it would be basically physically the same at the regular 1900+ in terms of heat and opererating. thx =)

i'm not sure why the hell you want to unlock it. Just up the FSB. I have my 1600+ running at 2000+. About to make it even higher. With an alpha pal8045 and arctic silver 2, im running the xp1600+ (1.4ghz) at 1617mhz. (154x10.5)

Of course all of this is rock solid stable in winxp pro. I'm on a soyo k7v dragon+.

My temp at idle is 39 degrees C and my load (or while running 3dmark2k1) is 41-43 degrees celcius. Temperature at normal (1.4ghz) is 29 degrees C for me on the pal8045.

Hope that helps you..

i brought the FSB up to 143, but it has trouble in unreal tournament if i up it any higher than that, that was on 98 though, and i just installed xp pro yesterday, so i'll try upping the voltage and seeing it i can get it to 148 or something like that, it'll post up to 154.
i have a 1700+ and a soltek 75drv2. thx for your reply.

Go to auto parts store and buy a rear defroster repair kit. It comes with a small
bottle of conductive paint.

Your welcome. By the way, I used my wife's plain red nail polish to
fill in the laser cuts. Much easier to see. (Please don't tell
my wife.)

Yep I did the exact same thing as OldBear. I got a rear window defogger repair kit and some green nail polish. Currently I'm running at 1770mhz (12.5x141) starting from an 1900+.
My cpu has never gone about 41 degrees oc'd.

If you increase the multiplier, the cpu should generate more heat. So to answer your question, I highly doubt it would run at the same temp.
