Which ASUS laptop to take?

Hello there, nice forum,

I've recently heard about two Asus laptops and I am hesitating beetween those two, which are on following links:

I want to hear from you guys thoughts on the specifications, primarly on CPU frequentions differencies. Thanks in advance.

I would take the windows one. Linux you cant really do much with. Sure you may have a decrease in resolution, but if you do gaming, windows is the default.

Well, I could take the Linux one and install a certificated Windows on that laptop, so basically the OS is not a big deal. However, I am looking for more powerful device in terms of speed and quality for gaming eventually. I want also to know if the differences between CPU's and resolutions could be that noticable.

If OS isn't taken into account, then take the linux one. Albeit it is more expensive and you have to buy windows (id recommend a retail version in case you get a new one), it has a 1080p res rather than one less than 1080p and it has 500gb more storage. In terms of speed difference, as far as specs are shown, there is no noticeable difference.
