Which Gaming Laptop RAM to get?

In your opinions - what ram would you pick? I was considering either cheapest 8gb or 12gb 1866 mhz or just upgrading to the cheapest generic 16gb ram for $50

The laptop is a MSI GT70 Barebones

Intel I7 - 4700MQ - 2.4ghz - 3.4ghz turbo
Nvidia GTX 880m
120gb SSD
1tb HDD

You need to check what the laptop will take - dimms, speeds, voltages. My guess is you can't have any with a heat spreader on it either.

I don't know. You'd think the company would only let you choose ram that worked on the computer.

This is a GTX 880m. Isn't that one of the better gpu's I can get? At least that's what my research shows.

The one you linked has an 870m with the option to get an 880 which is what the one I linked has.

Yeah, I'm at the peak of my budget now. I could do 860m sli possibly but two gpu's in that case worries me. I'd have to do more research on 860m sli and how much better it would actually be.
