I am in need of a new gaming laptop.
First off, I can only buy from Microcenter in Columbus, Ohio
I think I have narrowed it down to a few choices:
1. Toshiba Qosmio X75-A7295 $1,317.96
Intel Core i7-4700MQ Processor 2.4GHz
Microsoft Windows 8
16GB DDR3-1600 RAM
(2) 500GB 7,200RPM Hard Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770M
DVD SuperMulti Drive
Memory Card Reader
10/100/1000 Network
Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230
Bluetooth 4.0
17.3" Widescreen TruBrite LED-backlit Display
The price isn't bad, but I've read that the Qosmios tend to overheat. Also I've already bought it, but it is still within the return /exchange time frame. It was also an Open Box
2. ASUS ROG G750JX-RB71 -$1449.99
Intel Core i7-4700HQ Processor 2.4GHz
Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)
12GB DDR3 RAM

Which would be best bang for buck, but have good reliability?
I've read that the Qosmios tend to overheat and die after a month or so. I've already had one laptop that did this to me. I've read that MSI has a "Turbo Mode" for the fan, for extreme usages. Which may help while gaming.
I am set on a laptop as I am always on the go. So a desktop isn't really viable for me.
I play all kinds of games so it would be hard to place. But if I had to choose, Minecraft, Command and Conquer 3 Kane's Wrath, Diablo 3, World of Warcraft, SimCity (New one), Borderlands 1 and 2, Bioshock (All), Just Cause 2, GTA V.
I would like "High" to "Ultra" detail settings on most if not all these games, and at 1080p. But "High" settings is fine on the more intense games, and maybe Medium but it's not the preferable setting.
Hopefully I can get some help on best bang for buck. About $1,600 is my absolute max, with taxes, I do plan on upgrading to an ssd in any laptop later on, no matter the model. But not immediately.
Thanks for all the help.
