Which Laptop is better for Video Editing?

So I'm getting ready to go to college to study film and I have a decent knowledge of computers and have built my own desktop which is amazing. Now I'm getting ready to get a laptop for Film school and I want something that can handle Adobe CC really well.

I've narrowed my choices down to the ASUS ROG GL551JW-DS71 $1000 which has decent specs with an i7 quad core and 16 gb ram with a pretty decent graphics card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M It comes with a 1 TB drive and I plan to buy a 256 GB SSD to put in it and load the OS and Programs on or....

I'd be getting a refurbished Macbook Pro 2015 with retina display, with an i5 duo core with 16 gb ram with a 128 GB SSD and the Intel Iris Graphics 6100. But it does come with Mac's OS and a very nice screen compared to the ASUS. So I just wanted to get some outside input. I'm going refurbished because it seems safe coming from apple's store and is MUCH cheaper. I've also not used a mac too much so I don't have much to go on for them.

Depends on how much the macbook is. I own a 2012 version and its alright for editting. The Asus would be better imho.

Go with the mac if you want to have a laptop that is overpriced for the parts included, at exchange of it being extremely user friendly, and known to last a long time without many issues.

The macbook costs $1280 + tax and I've been leaning towards the ASUS but wanted a second opinion.

I would recommend either the Asus or the MSI, whichever fits your budget.
