gonna be used for surfing the web. watching videos and playing games occasionally (nothing heavy)

It's listed as "500GB 5400RPM hard drive" - I don't see 32 GB SSD. (32 GB is too small for an laptop drive).

Yes. And the laptop that has the better specs is the 2nd one; Pavilion.
