I am looking for a la laptop for gaming/3D design laptop/Movies/School/

I have found this:
HP ENVY 15t
• Windows 8.1 64
• 4th generation Intel® Core™ i7-4510U Dual Core Processor + 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M Graphics
• 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD WLED-backlit Display (1920x1080)
• 12GB DDR3L System Memory (2 Dimm)
• 1.5TB 5400 rpm Hard Drive
• No Additional Office Software
• Security Software Trial
• 4-cell 48WHr Lithium-ion Battery
• SuperMulti DVD burner
• Backlit Keyboard with Fingerprint Reader
• HP TrueVision HD Webcam with Dual Digital Microphone
• 802.11b/g/n WLAN [1x1]

Is this a good laptop?
Is HP(or the specific type) a good brand?
Are Hp laptops of good reliable quality which can last a couple years?
Should I get the 4GB dedicated graphics? Or is the 2GB enough?
Please tell me if you recommend any other laptops.

Thank you

HP manufactures great and reliable and stylish laptops however not many of them are design for hardcore gaming but only casual. So what I mean is games like Steam games would handle them pretty well.

HP has excellent video quality when it comes to watching movies and excellent sound quality with Beats.

But for 3D design, it is not the best but it would be still fine.

I would personally go with a 4GB GPU as laptops require more power on its graphics.

I have a better recommendation that it is beyond your budget, it is the MSI laptops. GS or GT Series.

Hope this has helped mate. :)

Typically brands like HP and Dell provide general-use hardware, with decent gaming specs only in their top-of-the-line models.

I used to have an HP laptop when I was a kid that lasted me for years, that is until I swapped the HDD for one with a higher RPM (oops). My sister's identical laptop lasted for probably 7 years before she upgraded. I'd say HP makes solid hardware.
