Hi. I'm looking for a new laptop. Found a few to my ideal top spec (but they all have little issues and/or unsure of quality) and one that I prefer over the rest, but would ideally like one that's a little cheaper and struggling to find one at the top spec for less or a slightly lower spec.

I want one that has a solid quality build.
Ideally has an SSD (either only or with a normal HDD)
A proper Intel Core i5 or i7 processor (e.g. Intel Core i7-6700HQ. No U or M processors)
8GB+ RAM
UK QUERTY keyboard and plug
15" screen (would consider a 17", but don't really want to go for 13")
Ideally under £800

Would prefer it if the power button is not part of the keyboard. I keep seeing some with the power button where the end button is and it seems far too easy to catch there!

I could buy an SSD for a laptop with a normal HDD only, but would prefer it to come with a SSD and the price needs to be lower if I have to buy an SSD as well.

I plan on using Photoshop on it (possibly some other Adobe programs too) and some old(er) games (if compatible).

Basically I want recommendations for a quality built laptop that should last a good few years. What would you suggest?

Thanks.

Thanks, but as much as I'd like to do a custom built laptop for some things it needs to be a pre-built one as I'm looking to buy from Amazon.

If the price is right on the Aorus listing that would be a badass deal.

Thanks. The ASUS ROG ones have the power button in an annoying place by the looks of it, but worth considering if specs and build are good.

I'll check out the Zenbook, thanks.

Sadly on the Aorus listing they are scammers :( The cheapest seller I've seen on a few listings at very cheap prices and I think their name changed at some point to something weird so certainly wouldn't trust them. The other is a scam as it says to contact them first. I imagine any genuine seller would price that far higher.

Thanks, but I'm looking to buy from Amazon. There are a few laptops on Amazon that do state they're by Scan PC, but the only sellers for them are dodgy ones so they're not an option.

Thanks, but I'm not sure that's legit. It's a low price for the spec and from a seller that specialises in motorbike clothing and accessories. They have a Macbook 2016 model for sale at just £350 so that looks dodgy. Looking at their feedback, profile and products for sale it's similar to that of other dodgy sellers recently.

I thnk if a genuine seller was selling that it would be well above my budget. There seems to be quite an issue with that recently, although the listings often aren't up long so they do appear to be dealing with it.
