which major to learn hacking

Depends upon what you mean by hacking. If you just mean playing with computers then any course will do; none of them will teach you a lot about hacking in that respect. If you mean hacking in the sense of unauthorised access to computer systems then sign up for any courses at the State Penitentiary; it will give you something to do whilst serving your term.

I don't think any degree really. Just something that teaches you programming and general computer wizardry...

If you want to learn "hacking" that's something you can learn on your own if you have the required pre-knowledge about PCs and communications in general.

Well hacking is way easier to learn from someone else and in college they teach you lessons you will never need to know. Though hacking the stuff you speak about can get you some time in jail. Plus they can not teach you hacking in college so find a friend and learn there.

While there is nothing overtly wrong with this discussion (no bans forthcoming), it could lead other members of the Tom's Hardware Community to feel it's ok to openly discuss more... instructional... methods, which is not and will not be tolerated.
