I currently live in Australia, but will be travelling south east Asia and vlogging for years and am looking for a great laptop (no Mac) to take along. Not backpacking and I will stay for months in the same area so no need for an ultra portable. I use the latest Cyberlink PowerDirector and Photoshop CC2015 and Lightroom. Not currently a gamer, but may become one later. Max weight 2.5kg and at least a 15.6" 3840x2160 IPS screen. The top 3 I'm currently looking at are:
ASUS ZenBook Pro UX501VW (2.1kg)
Dell XPS 15 9550 (2kg)
MSI GS63VR 6RF-055AU (1.8kg)
MSI GS73VR 6RF-041au (2.4kg)

I'm currently quite keen on the 17" MSI GS73VR 6RF-041au, but someone mentioned that you shouldn’t buy a gaming laptop for video editing because they aren’t as durable and won’t handle the excess heat during extended renders.
Wish list:
16 or 32GB DDR4 RAM, fast 6th generation i7 Sky Lake or Kaby Lake processor (Quadcore for video editing, with high MHz is for Photo editing), 256GB min but ideally 512-1TB SSD + 1GB 6700 rpm HD, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060M graphics card. 15.6” or 17.3" UHD (3840x2160), IPS level panel, 100% sRGB, 2+ USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolt 3 port, USB Type-C port, backlit keyboard, Good in heat/warm climate. Windows 10 (Pro ideally). Max weight 2.5kg. 802.11ac networking for wifi.

I am certainly no expert, these are just some of my findings from a day's research online, so I would be really appreciative if someone could advise me on a great laptop to go for. Many thanks!

Saw the MSI GS73VR 7RF Kaby Lake was now available in Australia. Would be very grateful for some advice from the techsperts here on Tom's if I'm on the wrong track here with the MSI laptop for my user profile.
I know I would like the 17" UHD (3840x2160) screen when editing, but I also know I would prefer to carry the a 15". Decisions decisions.
