which of these two laptops you recommend?

here is my old laptop

the thing that worries me is the GHz, and the processor chip inside, never heard of that brand. I need a laptop that I can write my scripts (film) and do microsoft office/internet, (and smaller)
Will the second one suffice or will adding more memory to the currnent laptop do the trick to go faster.

What's wrong with the laptop you have now? The one you linked will not be any faster.

Replacing the hard drive with a solid state would also speed things up, more than buying a bottom of the barrel used $100 laptop would.

Well the chromebook is out as you can't run programs in the same way as you can in windows. This leaves the other laptop. I am not sure what you mean by film scripts, what are they?
