Guys I'm looking at laptops and don't know how much importance to put into specific pieces of hardware. Which of these is the one you'd choose? why? Some of these are touch screens, which I don't care about, should I avoid them for any reason? also some of these are refurbished from geek squad. Problem? is there a better option than these 4, for the same price??

I'm basically looking for the thinest, sleek looking, light weight, netflix watching, school book PDF reading machine that has the most premium feel.

Hi Shawn Dunmire, :)

any of the 4 laptops are fine for what you are doing (look towards the bottom for the one I recommend and why). Touch screen is no different then any other display in looks, all it has is the ability to send responsive feedback to your computer (via touch of course). Refurbished or not, as long as it works correctly it would be fine, but new is better then used/refurbished because it can have a longer life span and operate better. There is always better laptops better, but anything better might be overkill for what you are doing.

The second from the first, HP - 15.6" Laptop - AMD A8-Series (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-15-6-laptop-amd-a8-series-4gb-memory-750gb-hard-drive-black/4445025.p?id=1219629073145&skuId=4445025) is what I recommended. It is basically the same price and its new. It has a good CPU (more then enough for what you are doing), good amount of RAM, good amount of HDD space and a good Graphics chip. The only thing that will be a draw back is the Hard Drive because its a 5400RPM and not a 7200RPM or SSD, but if you don't mind longer loading times for programs, its fine.

That is all I have to say for now, feel free to ask me for more questions, good luck finding you pick! 😀
