Which speakers to buy

So I've bought a 400 watt amp and I'm just wondering what type of speakers will work good with it. I'm leaning towards 2 6 inch speaks and tweeters for about $140 but then I'm also wondering how much watt is to much for the speakers. I get that the watt on the speakers can't be more then the amp. But I'm confused with the max watt part. Any help would be great. I'm looking at spending around $150 for speakers btw

If the loudspeaker has less max power than the amp, if you could damage the speaker if you crank up the amp too high.
You must get speaker set with the same power rating as the amp or higher.
