Hi, I'm looking to purchase a laptop for word, web surfing, and watching high definition movies.
I don't play games, but I do multitask a lot, having 20 tabs open at a time while listening to music, skype, and/or watching(streaming) videos.
After doing some research, I decided to give a shot at thinkpad models and came across two models from the thinkpad line.
Here are the specs for the two computers I've found:
Thinkpad Edge E520
i5-2430m
4gb memory
750gb, 5400rpm hdd
Thinkpad T520
i5-2520m
4gb memory
320gb, 7200 rpm hdd
I did not bother including other spec because they are identical.
The prices are same, and both are refurbished systems.
I originally thought of going for E520, with a bigger hard drive, but reviews suggest that while Edge is part of the thinkpad line, it uses cheaper parts that are not found on other thinkpads. Other things to take into the consideration are build-quality, battery life (with T520 lasting a little bit longer), keyboard, and etc.
I would like to receive some input on deciding between the two systems.
Any will be appreciated.
Thanks!
