which to buy? 30" widescreen vs. 32" 'regular' screen

Looking to upgrade from my old 25" tv. With HDTV coming on strong, I guess
it's time to go that way

I can't decide if I should get a 30 inch flat widescreen (such as this:

OR a 32" flat screen that is . (like this:

I have stood in Best Buy & Cicuit City for HOURS trying to decide which I
prefer, and I can't come up with anything....

This would be our main family room TV, used for most common TV applications:
DirecTV, Playstation2, DVD's, etc....HDTV? ....tyring to stay under/around
the $600 mark if possible, but willing to spring a couple hundred more if
necessary

NOW, the question is what would YOU get...and why? Benefits/cons of each?

The picture quality is probably pretty close, but the 30" has a DVI
connection which will work with newer equipment coming out, but that only
matters if you are going to use it with some sort of DVD player with that
has that capability. Going HD is also going to cost you a new STB for HD and
a new dish for HD programming. You may also want an off air antenna to get
additional HD programs. Then if you're a Tivo user, regular Tivo will not
record in HD, but Hughes has come out with a directv combo box that will go
for about $1000.00 (can be found for less on Ebay). Make sure you look at
both SD and HD feeds at what ever store you go to. BTW, you may also want a
progressive scan DVD player if you don't have one already. Buying an HDTV is
just the first piece of the puzzle unfortunately .
