White color on LCD is not white Is it the screen or something else?

Myy laptop is a sony vaio. The screen works perfectly except when there is a quick shift to a white display it shows it grey flickering and the cursor has a grey shadow. For example now this website's color is perfectly white but if i open a new tab it gives me a grey flickering color. Is this a screen problem or can it be fixed through the settings? Please help

Its usually just a problem with laptops, my laptop shows off a blue tint. Just get over it, just another drawback for medium to lowend laptops.
