Who do I contact for compute updates computer less than 1 year old

I get notices of updates needed (drivers) etc. and when I click yes it seems I always have to pay for updates. My laptop is less than a year old, why do I have to pay for any and all updates. this is the first laptop I've purchased where everything cost? Oh yes I even have extended warranty I purchased.

drivers update are free. Some software update are free, some are not, need to read the manual.

They warranty you for your ORIGINAL STUFF, not any NEW stuff.


Anywhoo, you did not disclose, as usual, as what EXACTLY you are updating. Am going to guess is some games/applications you bought. These are optional updates, you shouldn't have to update anything to keep them functioning, UNLESS you are unsavvy enough to buy SUBSCRIPTION SOFTWARE. If you did, ouch, what can I say, from here on, be savvy.
