To directly answer your confusing title
From plasma.com:
Maxent is Sampo, There seems to be a rumor spreading around that maxents are actually Panasonic panels. These seems extremely unlikely as Panasonic cannot keep up with there own requirement. We suspect that maxents are actually LG glass with their own electronics.

Without more information, it is difficult to help out. If it is on all sources, you probably have a bad board internally. If it is limited to one input, it could either be your source, or that input's board. Either way, you're probably looking at a service call from a local shop. It appears they stopped producing TVs sometime around 2006, and parts will likely be unavailable, or very pricey.

Nah, LG doesn't provide glass for Maxents. Panasonic does. At this point, you can either provide more detailed information of your problem or just call one of the technicians and explain to them about it. Because you don't wanna waste anybody's time just making assumptions

At least 3 Maxent Sets are indeed manufactured by LG (and use the same glass)

MAXENT MX-50X3TV Panel Model PDP50X3#### Manufacturer LG Electronics

MAXENT MX-50X5TV Panel Model PDP50X3#### Manufacturer LG Electronics

MAXENT P500150X3 TV Panel Model PDP50X3#### Manufacturer LG Electronics

Parts seem fairly available for the 50" line, it could be worth it to get a tech to look at it.

Edit:

looks like some 42s are as well
