Question Why can't the person on the other end of a call hear me but I can hear them?

I have an LG K7 for some reason no matter it be an incoming call or a out going call, sometimes at first the person on the other end can hear me but within just a few seconds they can't hear me at all... Even if I use speaker phone. Video calls too... I can hear them perfectly but they hear nothing....please help me fix this problem...I'm missing important calls about possible job opportunities.

Is your phone's software up to date? Also, is it still under warranty? Sounds like a defective mic. You may need to exchange/repair/replace the entire phone.
