Why different laptops need such different adapter with different tips?

I found a very powerful laptop charger on amazon, link here , as its review shows, it can power lots of laptops and can also be used as a car charger, besides it can power smartphone at the same time. I am just curious why different laptops requires different type of DC tips, if they all designed the same, I can only use one adapter to resolve all different adapter need.

Because they want you to spend money on their specific charger, it's another way to keep making money every time a charger dies.
