Why do some PC gamers use multiple monitors?

I see a lot of gaming setups that have multiple monitors.

Is it because some gamers like curved displays for racing gmaes or it something related to refresh rate?

Hey !

It's mainly just so we can have one monitor with our skype, youtube, music and all that on so that we can see it while we game with our main monitor. (Basically we are lazy bastards).

A better experience.

A lot of people who only have two monitors use it for multitasking like mentioned above.

Triple monitor setups are usually aimed for gaming on all three.

For multitasking it is good but I thought they use because curved TV were not available in the market that time.

But don't you have problem with TV frames between three monitors?
