Solved! Why does my LG Bluray change inputs from HDMI1 to Optical when powered on with Sharp TV

Every time I power up my TV and Bluray the Bluray changes from HDMI1 (the setting it was on when I turned it off) to Optical and then I have to manually set it back to HDMI1 again.
I use a cable modem connected to the Bluray (for surround sound) via HDMI and then to the TV (also with HDMI)

Try turning CEC off in the TV menu. If there is a CEC setting in the LG turn that off too.
