Question Why does my tcl roku tv have options for a spund and volume mode but its not selectable?

My mom has options for a volume mode and a so I.d mode in the menu if I got the star button but it's not selectable. Any idea why? My roku box does and I know what it is and how it works but I can't figure how to get hers to work on her tcl tv.

Did you check the manual to the TV? It may depend on other settings and what type of audio out is used.
