Solved! why does nvidia experience say my laptop doesnt support virtual reality?

so my acer nitro 5 says it is oculus ready but nvidia experience says that it does not meet the requirements. what am I not understanding? is there anything I am not understanding?

It worked on you, didn't it? You bought it.

Just like "Vista Ready" systems when Vista was first released. "Ready", as in it booted up. Sort of.

Or, Nvidia is lying to you, and your stuff is actually sufficient.
One or the other is not quite truthful.


Have you seen evidence of other people with the exact same system being able to use that VR?

You see what I mean is that the laptop has one of those small stickers that says Oculus ready. It has a 1050ti

The existence of a sticker does not automagically mean the hardware is sufficient.

I actually have the nitro with the 1050 ti. There are many versions out there.
