Solved! Why is my Samsung Tab A screen off?

Hi, my SM-T580's screen is "turned off" but S Voice/Assistant is stuck on, and when touching the screen it detects that I'm touching something even though I can't see what it is.

Is this a hardware issue where I can't do anything, or is there a way to get the screen to turn on? My cousin swears he saw the screen turn on for a second when trying different button combinations. Thank you!

If it is detecting things then the tablet isn't 'off'. It has to be on to detect anything. It is possible that the display is not working correctly and needs to be looked at by a tech.
