I have a laptop that has intel hd graphics 4600 and a single stick of ram and I'm thinking of adding a stick to increase gaming performance. I know that ram usually has nothing do with gaming performance but with integrated graphics it should make a difference since then the cpu ( intel i74720 hq) can access one stick while the gpu can access the second stick instead of both of the using the same stick of ram. Now what I want to know is your opinion and what fps difference I would get in games?

I have a desktop with a gtx 750 ti so I don't play games on the laptop all the time.

Sorry can't respond to your answer since I'm on my phone. So I've been watching ram prices on Amazon and right I can get a 8 gb stick for $25. So how much of an fps difference I really want to know but also realize that unless you've had an experience like this you won't know :(

Wow! That would be great. Plus I would have a total of 16 gb ram in my laptop and when paired with the 3.6 ghz i7 cpu and 500 gb Samsung ssd in the laptop I should have some serious multitasking power!

I think I'm going to order the ram and I'm hoping it will work in dual channel mode, I mean I don't see any reason why not since they're almost identical except for the brand.

Thanks for the feedback guys (especially ko888)
