I have a laptop with a screen resolution of 1366 x 768 with a Nvidia Geforce 230m
graphics. The maximum digital resolution is 2560x1600 and the maximum digital Vga resolution is 2048x1536. I am buying a new computer soon but I want to get my monitor now. The monitor I want is the Samsung S27A750D (1920x1080 120hz). My question is will my laptop be able to support both screens (bigger one for gaming and smaller one for interwebs). I will be using a hdmi cord to connect to the monitor.

Sorry didn't read the new computer bit, in answer to your question, yes it would support it, tho I wouldn't buy 120Hz as 3D is kind of pointless unless you are getting a 660Ti or higher

Great! Enjoy your monitor, also if you wanted to save money, you could buy Asus VG278Q's which are 3D with glasses and they'd be cheaper :) I have non 3D and non camera versions, because I have 3
