Here is the HP Pavilion 15-P184CA laptop I am looking at now for son going away to school. Will this work well for playing League of Legends? On a tight budget.

That should be just fine. LoL is a game designed with integrated graphics solutions in mind, and the screen isn't a very demanding resolution anyway. Your son will be very happy with that laptop!

It should be able to play the game fine.

You'll have no problems maxing out the graphics at 1366x768 resolution.
