Will this laptop play simple games?

I don't plan on playing battlefiled 3 or anything but will this play stuff like tf2, counter-strike, minecraft, etc. And I don't expect the most amazing frame rate either.

It will play those simple games you have provided, max settings should be no problem. It can even play demanding games such as battlefield 3, metro 2033 (last light), if not max settings, then high settings should be no problem. This is essentially a gaming laptop.

You could play those games (Tf2 minecraft etc) with a laptop that costs less than $1000. For your needs that asus is way overkill with a quad core processor, 16Gb of ram, beastly mobile GPU and a 3D screen.

No but seriously it is way overkill. When I see these threads I often wonder if they're real or just jokes...
