Question Will Yamaha Silent Cinema work over Bluetooth?

I have a new Yamaha RX-A1080 that has Bluetooth and Silent Cinema. I want to use my Bluetooth headphones for watching movies with the surround sound effect of Silent Cinema?
Will it work?….I was told that all I could expect to hear would be normal stereo over Bluetooth due to bandwidth constraints….Is this true?

That Silent Cinema feature is not real surround sound, it's stereo and uses ear and audio tricks to do virtual surround like "gaming" headphones like to advertise. If that feature works on the bluetooth connection, you will need to try it but it's not likely since the bluetooth hardware tends to use it's own audio processors. You have the AV receiver, you have the headphones, why not simply use them and see how they work?
