Windows 10 hdd not recognized

Long story, VERY Short:

Had a Dell laptop. Installed W10 on it. The mobo crashed. Took out the hard drive to recover my stuff off of it and my other laptop won't read it. The disk spins up and everything. Disk Manager shows the disk, but says it's offline. When I go to initialize it, I get incorrect function.

I know before I could take a hard drive out of one laptop, put it in another, and it would boot up. W8 gave me headaches over doing this, so I should expect no less with W10.

Any suggestions on how I can get my data off this drive?

sounds like the drive is corrupted. who is the manufacturer of the HDD?

Try to run seatools while the drive is connected to another PC

The drive isn't corrupted I'd bet my life that its just fine. There is no option to enable a HD in win10
