Windows 10 updated, now no sound through tv with HDMI hookup

I updated my computer to Windows 10. Now when I connect my laptop to my TV with an HDMI cable, it doesn't play sound through the TV. It recognizes the TV as a "generic PnP monitor." What do I do?

Go to your laptop manufacturer's web site and check for the latest graphics driver. Your laptop probably just needs an updated driver.
