Hi I have windows media player v8.5 I have transferred a short home vid to
ppc, I get the sound but no visual.

Any help would be appreciated

Interesting... should work I believe.

Have you tried to play it in another player on your PPC? Such as PocketTV
or BetaPlayer?

Check the bitrate of your video.

Older players running 8, etc. have problems playing bitrates above 600 k.
I can reproduce this at will between a 3835 and a 3115 using a 700k wmv.

Also, in some cases too large a video will not work (such as 640x480) with
slower players.

The good news is that a more efficient/forgiving player ( such as beta
player) will sometimes play these. If not, and you realy want to watch it,
rip it over to mpg and use another player. WMVs tend to be compressed more,
requiring more processor work to display the video while saving on video
size.

Of course, there are many custom encoding methods out there, so without
knowing what you have it is hard to get very exact.
