Hello!

I just installed Win10 on a brand new SSD. I have a 1TB Samsung 850 EVO and I cut off 150 GB from the SSD and installed Win10 on that part of the SSD.

Everything went fine with the installation but now when I look at my storage the C drive is set as the 150 GB part Win10 is installed on and I can't seem to find the remaining ~800 GB that should be left of the SSD. Where can I fin that part and select it as my "main" saving drive?

Thanks on forehand!

(Also this isn't my main concern but should I download the graphic card and motherboard drivers to the 150 GB section (the same one Win10 is installed on) or the ~800 GB section of the SSD?)

Solution

screenshot - Within Windows, look up Snipping Tool.
Or, ALT-PRTSC saves the current window to the clip board.

But anyway, in Disk Management, on the bottom portion
Right click on that 800GB space.
'New Simple Volume' should be one of the selections
Do that.
Format, and give it a drive letter.

I don't have any programs to be able to save any screenshots, sorry. But under disc management it says that the ~800 GB part of "Disk 0" is not allocated. (It has a black bar over it) But the 150 GB is and is the C drive. There's also a 500 MB part is "Reserved by the system" if that helps.
