Hi everyone,

I've run into a small problem. I hear that using NVIDIA GeForce Experience, I can record my whole display - and not just a game. I've done some googling and came to the conclusion that this wasn't working for me because my laptop is using the Intel HD Graphics 4600 for the display.

I want to emphasise that this is not about trying to get games to run off my dedicated GPU. I've already tried disabling the Intel HD Graphics 4600 in device manager - but after a reboot it uses the Microsoft display drivers instead.

Does anyone know how to make my laptop use the GTX 850m GPU for display? Thanks!

If you want to record your screen, then the xbox dvr is better. This should work with your intel hd driver.

Does that capture desktop though? Because that was more what I was after. Geforce Experience is working perfectly fine recording games, just not my desktop.

Thanks for the suggestion though!

It can capture any program you want. It will say, "Are you sure this is a program". Click yes and it will bring up the menu to record. I used it to record youtube vids just for fun.

Perfect! Thanks for the solution!
