windows won't boot

Solution
Sounds like your system is telling you that either Windows is missing or corrupted on your drive, your computer is booting to the wrong thing (not the hard drive) and the boot order needs to be fixed, or your hard drive is going bad. That is when it asks you for a disk.

Sadly most computers no longer come with system restore disks. This is why you get prompted to make one when you first start up your computer (for the first time). If you did not do that, you can try contacting the manufacturer and see if you can get the disk through them.
