I am also asking about connecting a stereo receiver to a wireless speaker. In my case the receiver (Marantz MCR610) does not have a tape out socket: it does have 'audio out' sockets and a headphone socket. Is there any way of pairing this with a speaker such as the Cambridge Audio GO...??

Solution
If you connect the BT transmitter to the audio out then the volume control of the Marantz will affect the volume of the BT speaker. If you want the BT speaker to play without the speakers connected to the Marantz playing at the same time you will need to disconnect the speakers or add a speaker selector that would allow you to switch them off.
If you connect the BT transmitter to the headphone out that will cut off the Marantz speakers for you but you won't be able to play them both at the same time.

Thank you - that's really helpful. Is there a BT transmitter you would recommend? (The distance to the wireless speaker is about 12 metres and through a partition wall).
